Taylor Swift’s music video for “We Are Never, Ever Getting Back Together” has now been released in its full glory!! The video first premiered on “MTV First: Taylor Swift” and can now be watched online.
The video features Taylor in a classic 1950s setting, but with some quirks. Woodland creatures (hilariously played by the Agency) follow Taylor around her arts and crafts world as the camera takes the viewer through the ups and downs of a failing relationship. The video, directed by Declan Whitebloom, was shot continuously using only one camera, which makes you feel like you’re actually there as the video unfolds in real time!
Following the music video premiere of WANEGBT, Taylor sat down in Times Square with Sway Calloway of MTV.com to answer a few questions about herself and her upcoming album, Red.
Taylor was tight lipped about Red and didn’t want to give away too many details, but she did say that the album is a “patch-work quilt of styles that have influenced her.” As for the individual songs on the album, she is most excited about her collaboration with her “absolute favorite band” and promised to reveal more closer to the album’s release date!
Also, be sure to tune into the MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday, September 6 at 8/7c to watch Taylor’s first live performance of “We Are Never, Ever Getting Back Together.”
