Taylor Swift To Be Honored At The Ripple Of Hope Awards Dinner

On December 3, Taylor Swift will be honored by the Robert F. Kennedy Center For Justice & Human Rights with their Ripple of Hope Award. According to RFKCenter.org, the Ripple of Hope Award “lauds leaders of the international business, entertainment, and activist communities who demonstrate commitment to social change.” Taylor joins past honorees including President Bill Clinton, Vice President Al Gore, Bono, and George Clooney as a recipient of this award.

“Taylor Swift’s dedication to advocacy at such a young age continues to inspire me, and I’m delighted to honor her as one of our 2012 Ripple of Hope Award recipients,” the center’s president Kerry Kennedy said in a statement. “As a young person, Taylor has already accomplished so much, and I look forward to watching all that she will do to help build a brighter, more peaceful world for us all.” (source)

Taylor and the Kennedys have established quite a relationship in recent months having spent time together at the Sundance Film Festival for the premiere of Ethel, a film based on Ethel Kennedy, and more recently she spent her 4th of July with the iconic American family.

The award ceremony will be taking place at the Marriott Marquis in New York City on December 3, 2012. Tickets for the event range from $1500 to $250,000, and can be purchased at Eventbrite.com
