Taylor Swift Takes Us to Paris at the 2012 CMAs

After what may have been a disappointing night for Taylor Swift in terms of winning anything at the 46th annual Country Music Awards (she walked away without anything), it was a beautiful night for fans of “Begin Again.” Taylor and her band transformed the CMA stage into a Parisian cafe, complete with an accordion, an Eiffel Tower backdrop, and the famous “Metropolitain” sign. This performance of “Begin Again” was unique, not just for the Parisian set, but because it was Taylor Swift’s first time performing the song at any recorded event.

“Begin Again” is one of the singles off RED, which had a record breaking week. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 200′s chart it’s first week on shelves. It represents the largest opening sales week of any album since Eminem’s The Eminem Show in 2002. Even though Taylor walked away without any CMAs tonight, having one of the best selling albums of all time is quite an accomplishment!
